A swim changing bag is born…

It was mid winter, our feet were freezing, the water was 2 degrees and Freya was prone to the effects of after drop and a bad case of the shivers — to be honest, some days we questioned why on earth we were bothering. Then one day, Dani turned up with a hot water bottle and bath mat in an insulated picnic bag in an attempt to keep her post-swim kit warm .

‘Ooh — that’s clever,’ Freya said.

‘Not just a pretty face,’ said Dani.

Freya laughed (loudly).

The chat then turned to creating a stand-in changing bag that would suit us both.

However… Dani preferred a holdall or cross-body bag,  Freya, with her bad back, needed a rucksack.

‘There’s no one size fits all is there... Or, is there?’

And so the  making of prototypes began. The bag needed to be practical, big enough to house Dani’s trusty bath mat, insulating, with plenty of storage pockets and adjustable straps that could change to suit the user’s needs.

‘Multiway bra straps… remind me in the morning.’

Late one night Dani texted Freya. Inspired by the notion that one bra can be worn in a variety of ways, the Big Dipper multi-way adjustable straps were born and our newly designed bag now had 3 modes of carrying it.
